Rules for the Board of Directors
1.  The State Commissioner's position on the Board is a permanent position.
2.  The following positions on the Board will be permanent as they are appointed
positions by the Alabama ASA Commissioner:
A.  State Umpire-in-Chief
B.  At Large Plyer Representative
C.  State Player Representative
D.  State Junior Olympic Commissioner (2)
3.   The elected positions on the Board and their terms of office are:
A.  President
B.  Vice President  C.  District Commissioner (2)
D.  District Umpire-in-Chief (2)
E.  Recreation Representative

4.  All matters pertaining to the Alabama ASA will be discussed at the Association's
General Meeting (2 annually) and then will be presented to the AASA Executive
Committee for final discussion and voting.
5.  The Board of Directors will meet immediately following each of the Association's
regular meetings or any specially called meeting.
6.  Any Board of Directors meeting must have, at a minimum, the following BOD
members present:
A.  AASA Commissioner
B.  AASA President or Vice President
C.  One (1) Commissioner
D.  One (1) Umpire-in-Chief
7.  The Board of Directors must have at least 7 voting members present to constitute a
quorum.
8.  The Alabama ASA State Commissioner has the authority to appoint a member of
the Alabama ASA State Staff to the Executive Committee to complete any unfilled
term by a member that leaves the Board.
