Umpires that meet the following requirements can be nominated for the National Indicator Fraternity located in the National A.S.A. Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A. EXPERIENCE
1) Must have officiated or served as a tournament Umpire-in-Chief in at
least three (3) national tournaments which could include the Inter/Service 
competition, Pan-Am Tryouts or US Olympic Festival.
2) The applicant must have been an A.S.A. registered umpire for at least
seven (7) years, but does not have to be currently active.
B. APPROVAL
1) The applicant must be nominated by his/her State or Metro 
Commissioner.
2) The applicant must be nominated by the National Umpire Staff 
member within his/her region.
NOTE: Nomination should not be made by the Commissioner or 
National Umpire Staff member if items (1) or (2) under EXPERIENCE are
not achieved.
C. APPLICATION FORM
Must be signed by the applicant, National Umpire Staff member in his/her 
region, and by his/her State or Metro Commissioner. Forms may be

D. APPLICATION FEE
A one time non-refundable fee of $15.00 must accompany the application.
Make check payable to the AMATEUR SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION.
E. PHOTOS
Applications must have three (3) passport size photos attached.
F. APPLICATION DEADLINE
1) Applications can be submitted at any time of the year for consideration, and
if approved, membership materials will be mailed at that time.
2) Applications must be received in the National Office by October 15 of each
year in order for the name to be placed on the permanent plaque in the National
Hall of Fame for that year.
3) Incomplete or unqualified applications will be returned with the application
fee.
4) Notification of approval will be made by January 1 of the following year.
