1. All Teams members will be required to sign in and present picture ID prior to playing in State Tournaments in 2009.
2. Roster must be at the tournament site before the brackets have been drawn. Brackets will be drawn by 3:00 pm on Wednesday of tournament week.
3. Rosters MUST be complete when they arrive at the tournament site. Rosters will be forwarded to the State Tournament site by District Commissioners. (Click here to see sample roster).
4. Teams cannot add players to their rosters after July 1 of the current year. So players cannot be added to roster at tournaments.
5. If a team does not have a roster at the tournament site by the deadline they WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the tournament. NO ROSTER, NO PLAY. It is the responsibility of the Coach and District Commissioner to insure their roster is complete and at the tournament site.
6. Any team that plays a player that has not signed in will forfeit the game. The protest MUST be filed before teams leave field.
PICK UP PLAYERS
Found in ASA Code, Article 503
1. A team may pick up 3 players once they have played in their last qualifier for a National Tournament. In Alabama ASA that is usually the State Tournament.
2. Any Pick Up Player must have been on an ASA Roster in the current year to be eligible as a pick up player.
3. A pick up player MUST come from the same division of play or lower. For example: A team in the Men's D Class can only pick up players from Class D or Class E only.
5. At no time can a roster have more than 20 players, including Pick ups. The Coach or Manager on the back of the roster is not a legal players unless his or her name appears on the front of the roster.
